Problem: Prisoners often have difficulty finding jobs after they are released from prison.
Solution: A company that teaches prisoners how to code and pairs them with businesses for full-time jobs (The Last Mile trains prisoners to code and Slack has hired some of them). It would be like the Lambda coding school, but instead of teaching people who volunteer the business would be teaching prisoners. The primary purpose of the business would be rehabilitation, not profits (unlike the Lambda school) and thus could be a non-profit (i.e. not paying taxes) while also receiving revenue. In it’s full form the business would teach 100s of prisoners how to code and make money from maybe 10% of them (or less).
Monetization: Every prisoner who gets a job from the company pairing contributes a portion of their salary to the business.
