Problem: There is more than 5 trillion plastic pieces weighing over 250,000 tons afloat at sea.
Solution: A company that collects plastic and turns it into usable materials such as bricks for houses, roads for developing countries, and more. There is a business in Ghana named Nelplast that does this very well and focuses as injection molding. Recently, they were featured on BBC News Africa. More broadly, the company could focus on repurposing plastics in a DIY way to resell to the general public.
