WE POST ONE NEW BILLION-DOLLAR STARTUP IDEA every day.

Problem: Creating chocolate is an extremely difficult process, especially when you do not have the right ingredients or are doing it for the first time.

Solution: A subscription business that sends you different types of chocolate nibs that you can grind into chocolate liquor and turn into specialty, home-made chocolate bars. Every week or month (depending on customer preference), the company would send a new recipe for making chocolate along with all of the necessary ingredients. When the user first signs up for the service, they would receive a chocolate refiner as well which would be paid off over the life-time of the subscription.

In 2017, the global chocolate industry was worth over $100 billion: chocolate is beloved by many; however, there is no option to create chocolate at home. Imagine if this was the case for the coffee industry. What if the only way to drink coffee was to purchase it already made from the store? This business would create a whole new industry of chocolate connoisseurs and expand the marketing opportunity for chocolate harvesters to make more money by selling directly to customers at a higher rate rather than to manufactures who generally take most of the profits.

Obviously, the idea of refining and making chocolate is not new (there are many, many, many, many how-to videos and blogs); however, this business would be designed to make the craft even more accessible for delicious chocolate consumption at home by selling nibs and seeds directly to consumers.

Monetization: Selling branded chocolate refiners, subscriptions to weekly/monthly chocolate nibs, and selling premium-nibs for consumption under a centralized brand of at-home chocolate.
