Problem: In publications, only positive results are shared with the public or with peers. Failure, which occurs more often, is often not publicly or traceably shared.

Solution: A failure database for heath research options and failed drugs trials. There are articles that pop up everyone once in a while about these failures (such as “The Top Clinical Failures of 2018” or Lush Prize’s “Animal Testing Failures”), but there is no centralized database for all of these failures. A tagged, searchable, and consistently-updated resource for this would help current researchers to determine where to invest their efforts. The hypothesis of this business would be that tracking failures is just as important and illuminating as tracking successes. Eventually, this database could be leveraged in combination with AI to infer different areas for research and areas of research to avoid.

Monetization: Sell access to this database for a nominal fee.
